Suits

The critically acclaimed American drama series created and written by Aaron Korsh, Suits has been running for six years, with its popularity showing no signs of waning. Continuing the tales of the busy New York legal firm, series seven kicked off in the States in July and is currently available on Netflix in the UK.

The central plot revolves around Mike Ross (Patrick Adams), who finds work as a law associate for Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). Mike is brilliant at his job, despite having dropped out of college and never attending law school. He empathises with clients, unlike Specter, who despite being one of Manhattan's top lawyers can appear cold.

It's a gamble hiring Mike as his new associate, as the firm Pearson Specter Litt has a strict policy that only Harvard Law graduates will be hired. They pretend that Mike has been to Harvard and each week, the show focuses on the cases Harvey and Mike manage to close while making sure the secret is never revealed.

Since its launch in 2011, the show has been nominated for many awards. Gina Torres who plays the law firm's managing partner Jessica Pearson, won the NHMC Impact Award for Outstanding Performance in a Television Series in 2013. Suits has received seven further nominations for various awards, including favourite drama series.

Rachel Zane has been of particular interest recently, as Meghan Markle who plays the role has hit the headlines for being Prince Harry's girlfriend. Zane is a senior paralegal and part-time associate at the law firm. She is also Mike's fiancée.

Meghan joined the cast from the onset. Her previous roles include playing junior agent Amy Jessup in the Fox series Fringe and two film roles in 'Remember Me' and 'Get Him to the Greek' in 2010. Born in Los Angeles in August 1981, Miss Markle has grown up to be an active humanitarian.

In Suits, Rachel's blossoming relationship with Mike has been a central storyline in every season, as their relationship evolves in fascinating and complicated ways.

Meghan and Prince Harry have been dating for around one year and recently returned from a holiday together in Africa. They were reportedly introduced in London through fashion designer Misha Nonoo, who was married to one of Harry's old school friends.

Meghan has fast become a style icon and gained plenty of followers on her Instagram and Twitter accounts when news of the royal romance broke, although she hasn't posted on either since her relationship got serious.

Speculation is rife in the media that Harry is about to propose, with suggestions that he will do so while Meghan is in the UK with the prince to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Princess Diana's death. However, there has been no official announcement yet, despite the media frenzy surrounding their relationship.

As series seven of Suits continues, it remains to be seen whether Meghan will continue to be a member of the cast in the future, as her marriage to Prince Harry would signify the end of her acting career.
